Medicare Advantage
Plans

Must have Medicare Part A and Part B to choose a Medicare Advantage Plan.

A Medicare Advantage Plan is a type of Medicare Health Plan offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A and Part B benefits. If you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, Medicare services are covered through the plan and aren't paid for under Original Medicare.

Medicare Advantage Plans and Prescription Drug (Rx) Plans have enrollment periods during each year.

Medicare
Supplement Plans

Must have Medicare Part A and Part B to choose a Medicare Supplement Plan.

A Medicare supplement (Medigap) insurance, sold by private companies, can help pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicaredoesn't cover, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

Some Medigap policies also offer coverage for services that Original Medicare doesn't cover, like medical care when you travel outside the U.S.

If you have Original Medicare and you buy a Medigap policy, Medicare will pay its share of the Medicare-approved amount for covered health care costs. Then your Medigap policy pays its share.

Special Needs Plans (SNP)
Dual Eligible Medicare+Medicaid

Medicare Special Needs Plans are a type of Medicare Advantage Plan (like an HMO or PPO). Medicare SNPs limit membership to people with specific diseases or characteristics, and tailor their benefits, provider choices, and drug formularies to best meet the specific needs of the groups they serve. If you are Dual Eligible, meaning you have Medicare and Medicaid, you may have plan options available to you. Contact us today to find out!

How to get drug coverage

There are 2 ways to get Medicare prescription drug coverage–either through adding a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (Part D), or getting a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C) such as an HMO or PPO that offers Medicare prescription drug coverage. There are differences between the benefit, premium, and out of pocket costs of different Part D Drug Plans. We can help you determine which plan best meets your individual needs. Prescription Drug Plans are subject to enrollment periods, don't delay, contact us today to determine what your choices are.
